Transloading

Transloading is the act of moving a shipment from one mode of transport to another, such as going from an ocean container to a truck or rail.

Transloading includes picking up a container from the port, bringing it to a warehouse, unloading it, and then reloading it onto a truck for final delivery.

In transloading, the products are transferred between conveyances except that the products are moved between conveyances instead of staying in one container.

For instance, a forklift may transfer palletized goods from a truck to a larger rail car, or a crane may lift heavy products like steel beams off a rail car and place them on a flatbed truck.

We have a team of experts who take care of the transloading process end-to-end.
